Brendan Rodgers’ City suffered a 2-0 reverse to Arsenal last time out in the top flight and drew 1-1 with Spartak Moscow in the Europa League on Thursday with Jamie Vardy missing a penalty.

Leeds, meanwhile, gave themselves a boost with a 2-1 win at bottom side Norwich City last Sunday and ended a run of three games without a victory.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are in 17th place and only two points above the relegation zone after ten games despite a strong return to the Premier League last season.

Today’s game is a big one for both sides as they look to kick-start their respective campaigns.

However, the match is not being televised live domestically despite falling outside the hours of the traditional blackout on a Saturday afternoon.

The fixture was originally scheduled for 3pm yesterday but was pushed back because of City’s involvement in the Europa League.

Kicking off at 2pm on Sunday, it is one of four three games due to take place at the same time with West Ham United playing Liverpool at 4.30pm.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal vs Watford, the latter on television, also kick-off at 2pm.
